And also, we all know that Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Vietnam are not overpriced, and also, Japan, China and South Korea are also overpriced country too. Why is the Philippines joins also as the overpriced country (outside Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand)?
And also, due to its political corruptions in the Philippines, that’s why the other products are overpriced, right?
And also, due to the Chineses, and also, the privatization of the selected GOCCs (such as Petron, MERALCO, PLDT and Maynilad Water), right?

NO NOT REALLY IN THAT CATEGORY that high prices are due in the Philippines.
There are many factors that trigger the high prices of commodity in the Philippines one of them is the constant going up and down of the oil prices abroad. And the strength of the peso to that of the dollar in the exchange rate market. Our economy are not yet that strong compared to other Asian countries that we have. If only we do the manufacturing of such items like you mentioned here the laptop, android phones and iPad etc. but we are not a mechanicalized country or an industrial country like our next door neighbors such as Korea, Japan and now China. Imagine, China is producing their own type of phones. We on the other hand cannot invent a car for our own use like the Koreans(Daewoo, Hyundai, Kia). We are only a CONSUMER COUNTRY. We buy everything that the world produce. If only we invent things then we can have a share of the wealth of the world, did you know that. It is like a person who has great ideas, people around you will buy that idea and you will get rich correct?
DO NOT BLAME THE CHINESE for our own misery. We have this misery long time ago I guess before you and I were born yet. You blame the Chinese because of their product flooding our market? That is ridiculous and silly. If we can produce what they produce maybe then we can be a competitive country but we do not produce any of it. Corruption is not even the reason of high prices, could be in a small scale but in a bigger picture it is us as a nation that should be blame for this. Instead of producing lawyers we should be producing more and more engineers to invent new things for us in the category of science and technology to ease our pain and sufferings.
Look at the Koreans, their hatred of the Japanese have them invent their own brand of luxury cars for their own people. After the war, Koreans do not buy any Japanese brand and with that conviction they produce everything that the Japanese make from electronics to digital components etc. the emergence of Samsung,LG of tv and other electronic gadgets. While back in the Philippines Filipinos are busy campaigning for the next election. Do you get the picture or not yet you need another round for this?
